New to Union Grove
Zach Richards - Pastor
Bro. Zach has been pastor of the Grove since 2007. A native of Section, AL, Bro. Zach’s love for teaching lead him to pursue a career in education. He graduated from Alabama A&M University in 2002 with a degree in Agribusiness Education, but not before surrendering to God’s call to pastoral ministry. Upon completion of his bachelor’s degree, Bro. Zach earned a Master of Divinity degree with a specialization in Biblical Languages from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2008. After taking some time away from school, Bro. Zach returned to seminary and is presently pursuing a PhD in Biblical Interpretation from NOBTS. In addition to pursuing his own seminary degree, Bro. Zach has helped to make seminary education accessible to others in the area by serving as the founding director of the Northeast Alabama Extension Center of NOBTS. Nevertheless, Bro. Zach’s heart is for the local church and the family of faith at the Grove.
Though ministry is an important part of Bro. Zach’s life, his first love after Christ Jesus is his family. Bro. Zach has been married to his wife Whitney since 2002. In that time their family has grown to include three daughters, Hannah, Abigail, and Lydia. Together, they love ministering to the people of Union Grove and their neighbors in Crossville.
